Central Square Theater is in an alleyway next to Fabrica on 450 Mass Ave. This performing arts organization is the oldest female-led theater in greater Boston and aims to tackle social injustice and gender equality through this artistic form. Standing as the only theater in the United States to work closely with MIT while bringing over 30,000 people together, Central Square Theatre diversifies the upcoming generation by bringing impactful stories to the youth and adults alike.

Only two shows remain available for booking. The first is an emotional play called Next to Normal, which is about a black mother in an upper-middle-class family who struggles with bipolar disorder. The second is called Beyond Worlds, a story about a female researcher at Harvard, who teaches a parrot to read and solve problems at the level of a 5-year-old despite the disapproval from her male colleagues.
