What if an Annual Meeting wasn’t a meeting at all?
This year, the Central Square Business Improvement District is doing things a little differently.
On Thursday, October 22, we’re taking our Annual Meeting out of the meeting room and into the neighborhood with Destination: Central, a walking experience through the people, places, businesses, art, and ideas shaping Central Square.
And for the first time, we’re opening our Annual Meeting to the public.
If you’ve ever wondered what the Central Square BID does, why we do it, or what we’re working toward, this is the meeting to attend.
Come Walk Central Square With Us
We could spend an evening showing slides about our work. Instead, we want to show you.
The evening begins at Cambridge City Hall, before we head into Central Square together for a walking experience through the district.
Along the way, guests will encounter public art, live performances, local businesses, cultural spaces, creative activations, and some of the projects and partnerships helping shape what’s next for Central Square.
Stops and experiences throughout the evening will include Carl Barron Plaza, White Tower, Graffiti Alley, Street Theory Collective, Central On Air, The Dance Complex, Lafayette Square, and more.
Each stop tells a different part of Central Square’s story.
More Than an Annual Meeting
Our work happens on sidewalks, inside businesses, through public spaces, alongside artists and entrepreneurs, and in partnership with the people who show up for this neighborhood every day.
Destination: Central is designed to reflect that.
It’s an opportunity to see how placemaking, public art, economic development, culture, programming, storytelling, and partnerships come together across the district.
It’s also a chance for us to hear from you.
