The World Lives Here: Meet Gina Latham
Central Square has always been shaped by people who create, experiment, and make space for others to do the same.
Gina Latham is one of those people.
As Program Director at Street Theory Collective, Gina works behind the scenes overseeing the programming and production that bring exhibitions, artists, and cultural experiences to life at the Collective’s Central Square home at 541 Massachusetts Avenue.
Her work sits at the intersection of art, culture, and community, helping transform creative ideas into experiences people can actually walk into, see, feel, and share.
And this fall, Gina is stepping into a new role.
From Producing to Curating
HARVEST marks Gina’s first curatorial project, giving her an opportunity to bring her own creative perspective to the forefront.
For someone whose work so often involves creating the conditions for other artists and ideas to shine, the exhibition represents another chapter in Gina’s own creative journey.
It also reflects what makes spaces like Street Theory Collective important to Central Square: they don’t simply display culture. They create opportunities for people to contribute to it.
Culture Is Created Here
Walk through Central Square and you’ll find creativity everywhere: on our walls, inside galleries, on stages, through music, fashion, food, and in the people building community every day.
Gina’s work is part of that ecosystem.
Through programming, production, and now curation, she is helping create spaces where artists can be seen, ideas can be explored, and people can encounter something they may not have experienced before.
That’s part of what The World Lives Here means to us.
It isn’t only about the cultures represented in Central Square. It’s about the people who bring their experiences, ideas, creativity, and perspective to this neighborhood and make it what it is.
Meet Gina Latham and hear more about her work, her journey, and why The World Lives Here.
